Our Mother’s Day Craft Night was a hit. The kids were all given a painted jar to put their hand print on. They also used paint markers and brushes to write their names and a message to mom. Parents seemed to really like this craft, and several people mentioned how it was a great childhood memento they could cherish.
While the jars were drying, we had a motherhood-themed story time. We read:
Mama Always Comes Home by Karma Wilson
I love my Mommy by Giles Andreae
Thanks to everyone who came out and crafted at the library!
